Events Art Director
The Events Art Director is responsible for developing and executing the creative vision for live events, experiential activations, and branded environments. This role oversees the visual direction, design language, and aesthetic consistency across all event materials, from initial concept through on-site execution. The Events Art Director partners closely with event producers, designers, vendors, and clients to ensure every creative element aligns with the brand and delivers an immersive, high-impact experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead creative concepting and visual direction for events and experiential projects
- Develop mood boards, design decks, and visual narratives that communicate the event vision
- Oversee design of event assets including staging, signage, installations, motion graphics, and digital elements
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are achievable within budget and technical constraints
- Manage and direct designers, illustrators, and external creative partners
- Review and approve final artwork, renderings, and production files
- Ensure brand consistency and creative excellence across all touchpoints
- Attend site visits and support on-site creative supervision as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of art direction or experiential design experience
- Strong portfolio showcasing event, experiential, or environmental design
- Expert knowledge of visual design, branding, and storytelling
- Ability to translate client goals into compelling creative concepts
- Experience working with production teams and fabrication vendors
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; 3D or rendering tools a plus
